We’re about to leave for New Mexico on a family cartrip. We’ll be going by the Los Alamos National Laboratory pretty much 60 years to the day Hiroshima was bombed, purely coincidentally. I wonder if we’ll see anything going on there. Protests? Solemn reminders? Nothing?
Anyway I’ll be back in five days and I’ll update you guys on how I’m doing, since I have so lazily neglected doing so for several months now.
Update: so yeah I haven’t posted again, as has been pointed out. Maybe once I’m more settled in back here at Olin.

It’s weird…Los Alamos is only an hour and a half from where I grew up, and yet I’ve never been…..probably because I had no reason to go and until not too long ago it was almost a closed city……I’m actually kind of jealous, and I’m excited to hear about it when you get back……..
nm is a pretty cool state. i’m just finishing up a civil eng. REU at UNM in Albuquerque. if you have time, check out sante fe and taos. if you’re feeling it, take a trip to carlsbad caverns NP and white sands natl monument. they’re a couple hours south of abq but well worth it.

oooh . . . Los Alamos. Do people in America observe that on the actual day or the day before? since doesn’t the time difference make it happen on different days in Japan and America?
…it’s blowing her head up.
